It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress (OWC), taking place from 3–5 September in Madrid, Spain. As the Scientific Programme Chair, I am honored to introduce a congress that embodies SICOT’s unwavering commitment to advancing orthopaedic education, research, and clinical excellence on a global scale.

This year’s scientific programme has been meticulously designed to be more interactive, engaging, and innovative than ever. Alongside our renowned Instructional Symposia, Free Papers, Debates, Surgical Technique Demonstrations, Ask the Expert Sessions, and Case Discussions, we are introducing exciting new sessions that address the evolving landscape of orthopaedics. These include dedicated sessions on leadership and practice management, round-table complex case discussions, regenerative medicine and future innovations, as well as a hands-on cadaveric course. Additionally, the Pre-Congress SICOT Postgraduate Examination Course (SPECTOR) has been developed to support trainees in orthopaedic residency, further enhancing the educational opportunities available at the congress. And the LATAM Pre-Congress Programme, dedicated to Upper and Lower Limb, will ensure a high level of up-to-date knowledge with our Latin American friends.
