Welcome

On behalf of the 2026 XL RSEF Physics Biennial organizing committee it is my pleasure to welcome you to Seville  from 20th to 24th  July 2026.

Following the spirit of the XXXIX Biennial at San Sebastián, the XL Biennial will be organized in plenary lectures and specialized symposia. Support young researchers and activities for the general public will be an essential part of XL Biennial.

The Biennial will be hosted at the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville, with an internationally recognized reputation in the field of Physics. The 2026 Biennial will be a great opportunity to exchange and discuss, in a friendly atmosphere, ideas, results, practical experiences and future projects.

Seville is the capital of Andalusia, the southern region of mainland Spain.  Along history, it has been a meeting point for a great diversity of peoples and cultures. The legacy of all these cultures has been distilled in their rich historical and cultural heritage and the hospitality of their people.

We look forward to welcoming you to Seville. Thank you for your attendance and for contributing to the success of the 2026 Biennial.

 

Tengo el placer de daros la bienvenida a la XL Bienal de la Real Sociedad Española de Física, que tendrá lugar en Sevilla del 20 al 24 de julio de 2026.

Continuando con el espíritu de la XXXIX Bienal de San Sebastián, la XL Bienal se organizará en charlas plenarias y simposios especializados. El apoyo a jóvenes investigadores/as y las actividades para el público serán una parte esencial de la bienal.

La sede de la Bienal es la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Sevilla. La universidad de Sevilla es una institución de gran prestigio en el campo de la Física. La XL Bienal constituye una gran oportunidad para discutir, en un ambiente amistoso, ideas, resultados, experiencia y proyectos futuros.
